MOZART, ELSEWHERE

Mozart, Elsewhere — Originals and Echoes is the companion playlist to the opening Resident Artist concert of PGMF2026: Mozart and Beyond. Designed as a listening bridge for audiences before the performance, the playlist begins with Mozart in original form and then gradually opens outward into a broader sound-world of flute, harp, and chamber colour. It helps listeners hear not only what is being re-voiced in the concert itself, but why Mozart’s music can move so naturally into another instrumental environment.

As the first concert in the festival’s six-part Resident Artist arc, Mozart, Elsewhere introduces the encounter “Mozart as Sound.” The concert begins from a recognisable Mozartian language, but gently relocates that language through new instrumental colour and chamber re-voicing.
