PGMF2026

PRINCESS GALYANI VADHANA INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL 2026

Mozart and Beyond

24–30 May 2026

Marking the 270th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s birth, PGMF2026 returns under the theme “Mozart and Beyond.” This year’s festival invites audiences to encounter Mozart not only as one of the most important figures in classical music history, but also as a source of continued artistic inquiry, reinterpretation, and dialogue in the present.

At the heart of the festival is the Resident Artist Concert Series, taking place 27–30 May 2026. Across six concerts, audiences will encounter Mozart through Six Artistic Encounters: Sound, Question, Method, Drama, Inheritance, and Shared Culture.

These six concerts will feature professors from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Thai artists, new creative works by PGVIM faculty, and one selected program returning from this year’s Call for Artists.

Ahead of the festival, the Call for Artists Showcase will take place on 22–23 April 2026, offering a platform for young and emerging artists to present their works, with one selected program invited back as part of the Resident Artist Concert Series.

Another key part of PGMF2026 is the Business Model Ideation Academy: Global Music Pathway, which will run from 24–29 May 2026. Further details and a separate announcement will be released soon.

More information on concerts, programs, and festival activities will be announced soon.

Mozart is reimagined here by Phayanchana, #PGMF2026’s design collaborator, as yet another encounter with Mozart.
