MOZART UNSCRIPTED

Mozart Unscripted is the companion playlist to Resident Artist Concert 3 of PGMF2026: Mozart and Beyond, presented in collaboration with PGVIM’s Musique de la Vie project. Within the six-concert arc of the festival, this is the point of release: Mozart becomes less a fixed repertoire and more a living practice.

The concert is built around the encounter “Mozart as Method.” Rather than asking audiences to hear Mozart only as a body of finished works, it focuses on Mozart’s way of making: spontaneity, fluency, wit, dramatic instinct, and the ability to generate music from a small amount of material with remarkable freedom and energy. In this sense, the concert is not simply about arranging Mozart. It is about reactivating the improvisatory imagination that already lies within Mozart’s music.
