PGMF 2023: CENTENARY CELEBRATION OF
HER ROYAL HIGNESS PRINCESS GALYANI VADHANA

Princess Galyani Vadhana International Music Festival 2023 (PGMF2023) is the final part of a three-year plan to celebrate the Centennial Celebration of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana. Hosted by the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music, the festival will be held from 29 May to 3 June 2023 at Sangita Vadhana Hall. It features Guest Artist Performances, a Call for Artists Competition, and a Business Model Pitching Competition, with the aim of promoting and supporting classical music in Thailand while exploring its feasibility, economics, and sustainability. The festival continues the vision of Princess Galyani Vadhana to bring classical music to Thai society and provide a platform for young classical musicians to showcase their artistry and to honor her lifelong commitment to the arts and education. The Princess Galyani Vadhana International Music Festival 2023 is a fitting tribute to her life and her dedication to classical music in Thailand. 


Objectives

1. To pay tribute to the late Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana's lifelong dedication to the arts and education.

2. To carry out the vision of Her Royal Highness in spreading awareness of classical music among the Thai society.

3. To provide an international platform for classical music performances and offer young classical musicians the opportunity to showcase their talent through innovative performances.

4. To investigate and find solutions to make classical music events feasible, economically viable, and sustainable in today's and future contexts.

5. To apply the knowledge and skills gained during the festival to create valuable business opportunities and foster a thriving cultural economy.
